Michigan's EIP Course Can Help Your Driving Record
December 20th, 2012 at 10:26 am   starstarstarstarstar
Start off 2013 with an improved Driving Record! Whether you have a few points on your license or received a minor traffic violation the Michigan Education Intervention Program (EIP) can help you obtain a better driving record.

The EIP has created both an in classroom and online program, the Basic Driver Improvement Course, which can help drivers keep points off their license and potentially decrease insurance rates. Those eligible for the course are those that:
  • Received an eligibility letter from the State of Michigan.
  • Received a minor traffic ticket (not a criminal offense).
  • Hold a valid, non-commercial driver's license
  • Have 2 points or fewer on their driving record.
  • Received a violation of 3 points or fewer, NOT for careless or negligent driving.
  • Have NOT completed the program before.
  • Does NOT have a restricted or suspended license.

The Michigan EIP site provides a rundown of the course as well as pricing, but also an explanation of how to read a Driving Record. A Michigan Driving Record contains such information as traffic violations, civil infraction determinations, failure to answer court judgments, accidents and license withdrawal actions or restrictions on driving privileges.

For more information on the course or to see a sample Driving Record visit the Michigan EIP site at http://eipmichigan.com
