Helping Community
Our law firm gives back to the community. We have a well thought campaign who's focus is to try to PREVENT accidents and assist victims of crashes. A portion of our legal fees is spent on these important activities.
Bystanders Assistance Course: We are very proud that we have educated over 1,000 people by putting them through a medical class that teaches them how to save or assist those injured in a crash. We put a member of our firm through EMT school, so she could teach this course to civilians who travel our roadways. Our law office puts on and sponsors a bystander assistance course. Our bystanders assistance course teaches people what to do if someone gets injured in a crash. It includes rescue breathing, the proper way to move someone out of harms way (Don’t unless it is dangerous to leave the person where they are because of traffic or other hazards.), life saving emergency medical care and more.
Featured Speaker: Attorney Waechter often speaks for free to many groups. The topics usually include explaining away myths and misinformation of laws that apply to motorists, how to legally protect yourself and special insurance for individuals and victims.
| Pro-bono Attorney for the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund: This fund was created by an act of congress. The victims in exchange for an agreement not to sue the airline corporations involved the Attorney General appointed a Special Master to over see the fund. A request to attorneys across the country was issue to donate their time pro-bono (for free) to represent people and families that were injured or suffered a loss because of the terrorist actions of September 11, 2001. Attorney Jason Waechter and his office answered the call and represented a New York police officer who sustained injury while working at ground zero in lower Manhattan. |
