4 Percent Decrease in Michigan Deer-Vehicle Collisions

As most Michiganders know with the crisp air of fall brings wildlife migration, most notably deer which can cause problems for drivers out on the road. However there has been a 4 percent decrease of deer-vehicle collisions within the state from 2010 to 2011.
 
Last year there were 53,600 collisions which resulted in 1,464 injuries and eight fatalities reports the Michigan Deer Crash Coalition. Beyond the injuries deer collisions can cause to drivers, deer can cause serious damage to cars as well. Hitting something with that kind of weight no matter your speed can result in serious harm to your vehicle.
